About us
About veteran arts
When we heard that people who suffer from PTSD or Traumatic Brain Injury engage their hands in artistic, woodworking, or other manual endeavors, respond 60% better than drug therapy, we knew what we had to do.
Art Therapy is already recognized as an effective treatment for stress and anxiety. In one study, it showed that art therapy lessened anxiety levels by as much as 75%, and almost instantly reduced the levels of the stress hormone Cortisol. Veterans who engage in Art Therapy reported feeling more present, and more calm.
